State Conference Update #3

State Conference Update #3

Quick reminder that the Written Event Submission Deadline is: 5:00 p.m. on February 6, 2020 … THIS THURSDAY! Projects must be submitted by this deadline. Students who are registered to compete in a written event, but do not submit their written event in the online system by the deadline, will be removed from the written event and unable to compete in the written event at the State Conference.

Each project must contain a fully completed Written Event Statement of Assurance (a copy is attached) which must be the first page of the PDF. The file should open so that the Statement of Assurance is the first page. You will digitally acknowledge the Statement of Assurance when the project is submitted online, but will still need to have the Written Event Statement of Assurance document (with all required signatures) included as the first page of the submission. We will not turn in the Statement of Assurance on site at the conference. If it is not included with the electronic submission the points will be lost. There are tutorials and instructions in the online submission portal to assist with this.

To help facilitate the process, you may begin by queuing up each entry in the Written Events Portal. This will help remove a step on the due date and act as a checklist as you upload. Simply click the “Submit New Project”, complete the fields without uploading a PDF, and click the “Save For Later” for each project. Then when you’re ready, you may simply go back and upload as needed. Most importantly, do not wait till the last minute.

Complete instructions for submitting written projects and details are included on Form D (a copy is also attached to this email).
