If you are new to DECA and have never attended SCDC before, be sure to check out The Navigator - Educator's Resource Guide to SCDC. You will find all kinds of great templates you can use from communicating with parents to holding meetings and making sure your student lists are organized and up-to-date. Be sure to take a peak, and look for an interactive conference schedule coming February 10; just in time for parent and student meetings.
MEMBERSHIP REMINDER - MARCH 1 IS THE MEMBERSHIP DEADLINE FOR ALL ICDC COMPETITIVE EVENTS!
Did you have students place in SMG or Virtual Business? Did you have students submit an SBE certification paper? Did you earn Thrive spots? Are you planning on submitting students for the leadership academies at ICDC? If you have said yes to ANY of these, make sure those students are submitted into the membership portal by March 1 as they HAVE to be submitted members of DECA to attend ICDC. Questions? TEACH DECA DRIP: KEEP THE ROLE PLAY MOMENTUM GOING!
Don't forget about all of the great role play resources in Unit Two of Teach DECA; sample role plays with all kinds of instructional areas, practice tests, webinars on how to create an effective presentation, etc.! Keep the momentum going by using all of these great resources! Give your students a new role play one day each week between now and state as bell work, and give them 10 minutes to complete a note page using the example template in Teach DECA Unit Two | Role Play 101. The more practice they get reading and creating effective notes, the better they will be, plus more exposure to performance indicators!
